At the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS), we offer several specific leadership-level certificate programs to help working professionals grow into leadership and prepare for the next level.

LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS, PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

CCAPS’s Leadership Essentials Certificate helps you hone the critical thinking, communication, conflict management, and time management skills you need to inspire and lead teams, departments, and whole organizations. With seven required courses and a skill-building elective under your belt, you’ll be well positioned for every advancement opportunity that comes your way. Learn how to:

• Hone interpersonal skills and improve professional relationships
• Manage multiple competing priorities efficiently
• Strategically and intentionally influence others

Topics include: emotional intelligence, team communications, managing priorities, critical thinking, intentional influence, conflict resolution, and more.

SUPERVISION, PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

The Supervision Certificate program from CCAPS offers the tools you need to be successful in all types of supervisory roles. You’ll learn how to enhance the productivity and progress of those who report directly to you, helping them work together as a team while resolving interpersonal issues as they arise. Plus, with the addition of three skill-building electives to the five required courses, you can customize your certificate program to your career goals. Learn how to:

• Build teamwork and commitment
• Delegate tasks effectively
• Manage job performance and develop talent

Topics include: supervision principles, delegation, coaching, building teamwork and commitment, and measuring and improving work processes, and more.
