Prepare for Leadership Roles in the Construction Industry

Want to take your construction career to the next level, perhaps a leadership level? Maybe you’re just looking for the right way to break into the industry. Either way, the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) can help. We offer three distinct programs to support your professional goals at every stage of your career.

Our programs, will give you the fundamental insights you need to excel in areas ranging from estimating, scheduling, and planning to site management and quality assurance. Whether you’re in the industry now or focusing on your education before you begin, our BAS, certificate, and minor programs are designed to prepare you for success at every level throughout your construction career.

Construction Management, Bachelor of Applied Science

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management is designed to give you the tools to prosper at every stage of the construction process, from opening blueprints through the build. Working with a program advisor, you’ll be able to customize your degree path to your career goals with one of five skill-building tracks:

  • Commercial
    Construction
  • Highway Heavy
    and Civil Works
  • Residential
    Construction

The Construction Management certificate program lays the groundwork industry pros like you need to take construction careers to a management level. It covers the design and technology framework essential to the industry as well as practical skills for communication and management to help better manage the worksite and your career.

Construction Management, Minor

For students looking for the perfect complement to their major, a minor in construction management provides a solid foundation of industry insights and business essentials for the construction industry. This minor also provides the ability to further customize education to career goals with three focus areas: general construction management, environmental health and safety, and facility management.

I work with prospective students interested in our applied undergraduate majors (Construction Management, Health Services Management, and Information Technology Infrastructure) or designing their own degree program (Health & Wellbeing Sciences, Inter-College Program, and Multidisciplinary Studies). I’m available to answer your questions and help you find a program that meets your needs. In my free time, I can be found reading, running with my son, or visiting a brewery. I am an avid sports fan cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota United FC, and Liverpool FC.
