Support Mental Health and Sexual Health and Healing
Sexual health intersects with mental health, relationships, and personal identity. Yet many counseling professionals lack the specialized training needed to address these issues effectively. The MPS in Sex Therapy program prepares future counselors to support individuals, couples, and families through evidence-based training that promotes healthy relationships and sexual well-being.
SEX THERAPY, MPS
The Master of Professional Studies in Sex Therapy at the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) is an online program that combines curriculum from the MPS in Sexual Health and clinical experiences from the MPS in Integrated Behavioral Health. This program is designed for students seeking to become Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) in Minnesota who may choose to pursue optional AASECT Sex Therapy certification. Recent undergraduates and career changers who want to become licensed mental health counselors with a primary interest in LGBTQ+ or sex therapy are a perfect fit for this program as well. Courses are taught by faculty who are expert clinicians, counselors, and researchers in mental health, sexuality, and gender health.
